Use your own domain

Show galleries on a domain you own, such as gallery.yourstudio.com. Paid plans only.

Updated 4 November 2026

On a paid plan you can show your galleries at an address you own, such as gallery.yourstudio.com. Custom domains are included in Starter, Plus and Studio. They can't be activated during the trial.

What you need

  • A domain you own, bought from any domain registrar. We don't sell or register domains.
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings at your registrar or DNS provider.
  • We recommend a subdomain such as gallery. or photos., so your main website is unaffected.

Connect your domain

  1. Open Branding & domain in the dashboard and choose Add domain.
  2. Enter the hostname you want to use, for example gallery.yourstudio.com.
  3. We show you a DNS record to add. Add it at your DNS provider exactly as shown.
  4. We check the record and set up a secure (HTTPS) certificate automatically. This usually takes a few minutes, but DNS changes can take longer to spread.

The dashboard shows the status at each step. Each business can connect one gallery domain.

What shows on your domain

Only your own galleries, transfer download pages and their media. Your domain can't show anyone else's content, and nobody else can claim your hostname.

Printed QR codes keep working

QR codes go through PhotoPostman's permanent address, so you can add or change your custom domain at any time without reprinting anything.

Removing a domain

If you remove the domain, or your paid plan ends, galleries go back to the PhotoPostman address. Remember to remove the DNS record at your provider too.
