Set an expiry date
On the event's Expiry tab, choose 7, 30 or 90 days, a custom date, or, on a paid plan, no expiry (within your storage allowance). Expiry times use the event's time zone.
When a gallery expires, guest access stops straight away, including downloads that were already being prepared. The QR code then shows a neutral "gallery closed" page.
The 90-day recovery archive (paid plans)
When an event expires on a paid plan, its hosted originals go into a private recovery archive, as long as no active gallery or transfer still uses them.
- Archived files don't count towards your hosted storage.
- Files are only marked as recoverable once their copy has been checked. Until then the status shows Archive pending, or Archive failed if something went wrong. We never show "backed up" before the copy is verified.
- You can restore an event until the date shown, exactly 90 days after it expired. Restoring needs a paid plan and enough free hosted storage. We never upgrade your plan automatically.
- After the deadline, the files are permanently deleted, including previews and temporary ZIPs.
What isn't covered
- Trial files. They're deleted 14 days after the trial ends.
- Connected cloud originals. They stay in your cloud account and are never copied into the archive.
- Files that never finished uploading, or that were already permanently deleted.
Restoring more than once
A restored event must stay active for 90 days in a row before a later expiry starts a new 90-day recovery window. If it expires again sooner, the original recovery deadline still applies. The dashboard shows the date before you close the event, so there are no surprises.
When a paid plan ends
At the end of your paid term, public delivery stops and you have 14 days of read-only access to export. Hosted files go into the recovery archive when service ends. The 90 days start then, not after the 14 days.
